How we use your personal data

SeeAbility (registered charity no. 255913) is the Data Controller for the Lottery regarding our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998.  

The SeeAbility Lottery is a part of a Lottery Syndicate managed by Capen Limited (“Capen“), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 8141955 (England)), an external lottery manager. Capen is a Data Processor for the SeeAbility Lottery.

We only use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide our Lottery services to you and to administer user records;
  • To process transactions between us including the purchase of entries to the lottery by ongoing direct debit;
  • To arrange for fulfilment of prizes;
  • Communications with you where there is permission for us to send you marketing or fundraising information from SeeAbility


Who we can disclose your personal data to

We will not disclose your personal information to anyone except for the following purposes:

We will disclose your personal data to law enforcement agencies or regulatory bodies if we believe that you are involved in any illegal or harmful conduct or if we are required to do so by law or we believe that such action is necessary to:

An example would be a specialist company who set up direct debit instructions. SeeAbility will ensure Capen and any other third party organisations are contractually obligated to meet all legal requirements under all relevant legislation.
